The Owl's Clover Mini Cabin is a versatile cabin that falls right at 200 square feet.  The purpose of cabins that size is to keep folks with a permitting size requirement under the minimum.  Your exact county rules depend entirely on where you live.  

 

One of our friends has built an Owl's Clover in a beautiful mountain setting.  A group of friends went together and bought a piece of vacation land and a cabin kit from Pennypincher's.  They started by building a wood platform foundation system with excess lumber they had on site.  Then they built their cabin on top of it.  They chose to make modifications to the plan by adding a pony wall to expand the head height in the loft.  Our reason for keeping the normal head height under 5' is so that it is not counted as usable living space, though you have plenty of room for a sleeping loft. Again, it really helps to know the rules in your county or know what rules you might be stretching.
