Choice #1 "Heavy Timber and Plank" kit?

The Pennypincher "Heavy Timber and Plank" kit is extra heavy duty. It is 95% Pre-cut using all Northwest high quality Douglas fir timbers, posts and beams. It is bolted together with heavy duty hardware, and it includes heavy timber plank siding, plank flooring and plank roof sheathing. It is trimmed with Western Red Cedar and includes Cedar Battons.

Sale priced as pictured.  The priced includedes deliver (most of U.S.), 95% Precut, 18 hours of free design customization.  Not included is Interior finish, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or their plans. Paint, stain, caulking, and gutters are not included.  This is a kit, labor is not included. Roofing and energy efficient windows are credited at our purchase cost for your local purchase.

Custom design

For starters, you may choose from any of Pennypincher or Howard's designs.

We work with you to redesign the plan, adjusting the size, designing the foundation and adding energy efficient living space, until you say "Stop!" "That is perfect!"

These buildings are very strong and are suitable for use in high snow and high wind areas with minor plan changes.An engineer's structural stamp is available if required (extra cost)

For an official quote, email us the Site specific ground snow load, site specific wind load, and site specific frost depth, and proper seizmic zone.

How would I get a signed official quote??

Provide us with your site specific ground snow load, wind load, frost depth, and seizmic zone, and whether an engineers 'wet stamp' is required.

How would I pay??

When the signed site informatoin sheet has been emailed to Pennypincher Barns, we will send you a signed quote/order form for you to also sign and return with your 20% non refundable initial payment.

You may pay with a check, or by wire transfer.

When paying by credit card add 2%.

How is a "Heavy Timber" barn shipped?

Covered, on a 40' long haul truck. You will need a fork lift to unload the package.

How long does it take ??

As little as two weeks, or as long as several months depending on the design time, engineering time permitting time and banking time. Once the package has been ordered, you may take delivery when you are ready. If lumber prices rise drastically due to earthquakes,hurricanes and tsunamis, you may be asked to share the difference in the rise of the price. For that reason you will want to take possession as soon as possible.

Sale priced as pictured.  Price includes free shipping to most of the U.S.

Not included: Interior finish, plans for electrical, plumbing, HVAC.  Roofing and windows are credited at our cost for your local purchase.  Paint, stain, caulking, and gutters are not included.  This is a kit.  Labor is not included.
