A building project is journey. There are high points and pit falls. There are good days and bad.  There are dreams achieved and hopes dashed.  What I’d like to do is share some of that with you and that’s why starting today I will be writing a new series I’m calling Real Projects & Sweet Dreams.
 

Every day I get calls and emails from people with a dream.  Maybe it’s a little cabin in the woods or a chance to live mortgage free.   Some days it’s a lavish horse barn with a hay loft and rows of stalls.  I’m captivated by them all. Some of these dreams materialize into real projects like the gorgeous Cotswold Coop or Tiny Timber Frame Mountainberry. Some dreams take a back seat to life but linger for someday.   Some dreams just fade away and make room for new one. Hopefully by sharing these “sweet dreams” you’ll be inspired. 
 

Real projects are happening around here every day.  There are folks narrowing down exactly what they want. We have projects in the early phases of design and drafting.  There are buildings in permitting and awaiting delivery and builds under way.  Along the way, like on any journey, things happen.  There are problems easily solved and rough roads, sometimes literally, to navigate.  The idea of this portion of the series is to share with you the stuff that comes up and how we worked our way through.
