Pennypincher's frame kits use locally available, quality standard construction materials. Each building kit is custom designed and materials may vary from place to place based on design or local availability. By designing our kits this way we are able to offer you the best designed, quality, most affordable cabin or barn.
- 2 x 6 stud walls 2' on center with 1/2" subsiding.
- 2 x 12 floor joists 2' on center.
- 3/4" tongue and groove sub floor for loft floors.
- 2 x 8 Roof rafters increased to 2 x 12 rafters for energy efficient modes.
- 5/8" OSB Roof sheathing.
- Timbers are 2 x 12 laminated, composite beams and glulam beams.
- When added 1 x 3 Cedar Battens.
- Standard stair or pre-manufactured pull down stair for some loft style kits.
- Local Delivery. Remote locations have an additional delivery fee.
Optional dress up accessory items are shipped by the most economical shipper.
